Original antique World War One poster - I gave gold for the defence Iron I took for the honour / Gold gab ich zur wehr Eisen nahm ich zur ehr / Bring your gold jewellery to the gold auctions! Stylish artwork by the German painter and graphic designer Julius Gipkens (1883-1960) featuring the silhouette of a lady on her knees handing over her gold jewellery for the fight for victory against a white background with a decorative border, the stylised text in gold lettering around the circle with white stars against a black background, the rest of the text below. Gipkens after Hosaeus. Printed by Hollerbaum und Schmidt, Berlin N65. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, small creases on edges, small tears on edges.
