Original vintage car dealer showroom advertising poster for Volkswagen Beetle - Hardest part of buying a Volkswagen in Europe: deciding what else to buy with the money you save! - featuring a great black and white design depicting a smiling man driving a VW Beetle with various items loaded on the roof including a painting, clock, statue bust, skis and a vase with the main text in the background and information below reading: Pick up your new VW (factory-equipped to American specifications) in almost any European city. The German automobile maker, Volkswagen ("people's car") was founded in 1937; the company's Type 1 two-door models were first manufactured in 1938, achieving a peak growth in sales and popularity during the 1960s hippie era.
