Original vintage World War Two Home Front propaganda poster - Dig for Victory - featuring an iconic illustration of a child wearing a white sun hat and holding a hoe and a shovel to help with gardening and farming during the period of war rations set on a white and glowing blue background, the bold black and red text above and below. Issued by the government for the Ministry of Agriculture campaign to encourage people to grow their own vegetables and increase food production using allotments in gardens, parks, sports grounds and other suitable plots of land. Printed for HM Stationery Office by H. Manly & Son Ltd. Adapted from the Prize Winning Design by Mary Tunbridge. Good condition, fold, creasing, staining.
