About the Item
Woman with red hair in a hat with feather, in green, black and white, Monotype ev edition 5/6 with hand coloring and mixed media work. Kim Frohsin spent 12 years working on monotype ev's, and works from this series are included in important Museum and private collections worldwide. J. E. Hat features a female red headed woman wearing a hat with a feather. Colors are red, green, black and white. paper has a deckled edge.
Frohsin began exhibiting in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1990s, and in 1993 was included with Nathan Olivera, Manuel Neri and Stephen De Staebler in an exhibit of "Four Figures from the Bay." With Wayne Thiebaud as the juror, she won the California Society of Printmakers' Award in 1996, and the following year exhibited at the de Young Museum in San Francisco in "Bay Area Art: The Morgan Flagg Collection." Frohsin is at home with painting, drawing, monoprintIng, and mixed media.
