About the Item
CITY LIGHTS by the woman artist Robin Morris, is an original limited edition lithograph printed in 15 colors using hand lithography techniques on archival Arches paper, 100% acid free. CITY LIGHTS is a modern Art Deco style city couple portrait of a sophisticated pair elegantly dressed to go out for the evening holding bubbling champagne glasses, both with pouty lips, staring at the viewer with one-eyed gazes. Ms. Morris utilizes her characteristic Art Deco stylized drawing in creating a portrayal of a modern couple - the woman with her flowing strawberry blonde hair, red blushed cheeks, dramatic long white pearl necklace and red evening gown; her male companion sporting a black with yellow satin band boater hat and formal grey tweed suit with big squared shoulders, white shirt, and red bow tie. A deep, dark blue moonlit evening sky in the background, tall gray city buildings with light yellow glowing windows, and black and white checkered floor tiles beneath them all add to the drama of this very unique and slightly amusing lithograph.

Contemporary American artist Robin Morris (b. 1953) is best known for her New Deco style of artwork that has captivated many throughout her career.
