Martine et Jacki Perrin travaillent à quatre mains et forment un duo riche de l’individualité de chacun. Pendant plus de dix ans, ils explorent les ressources de la céramique et apprennent la calligraphie extrême-orientale. Le verre devient par la suite leur médium de prédilection. Ils mettent au point la méthode unique du « Buil-in-Glass » qui leur permet d’explorer en permanence de nouvelles frontières, et d’avoir un développement continu et renouvelé de leur art. Le couple compose de denses et compacts blocs dans lesquels ils sculptent des pièces monumentales ou plus intimes, aux couleurs et lignes originales. L’une des caractéristiques formelles de leur travail est le jeu perpétuel sur les transparences, les porosités et surtout la lumière. Ils trouvent leur inspiration dans toutes les constructions scripturales et musicales ainsi que dans la révélation de processus ou de phénomènes géologiques. Leurs œuvres, nées des quatre éléments, ont une cohérence intrinsèque et une beauté singulière.
