About the Item
Doug Hyde: Born 1946, is a well listed American artist who is known for his Native American sculptures. He has auction results as high as $22,000. This is by far one of his finest examples in both subject and technique. He titled it "Stopping the Tears" as a mother comforts her child. It is sculpted from Utah Alabaster. I measures approximately 11 inches wide by 8 inches high by 7 inches deep. It lays on a beautiful black possibly onyx base which is 3 inches high. I do not know if the artist made that as well.
