Eric Schutte
Colette- 21st Century Sculpture of a nude girl made of black recycled plastic

2021

About the Item

This sculpture is made out of recycled plastic by Dutch artist Eric Schutte. The artist who also paints paintings, made this sculpture out of plastic. The plastic is recycled and used before in agriculture. The model stood in real live before the artist while he was making her in live size. The anatomy of the girl is astonishing. The girl is live sized, 170 cm high, so just as big as she is in real. Because of the pedestal the sculpture hight is 220, without pedestal, 170 cm. The sculpture can stand without pedestal if you like. Eric Schutte lives and works in Ommen, in the North East of the Netherlands . He describes his art, paintings and sculptures, as Modern Conceptual Realism. Conceptual because he likes to tell you something else besides the beauty of his subject. In the series he made for his solo exhibition it is about 'The Moment' (Momentum). The use of plastic in his sculptures and fresh colors, broad brushstrokes, an an underlying sketch in magenta, beautiful light in his paintings makes it all very unique and special. Feel free to ask for additional information about this piece or the artist. We will be happy to help you. The sculpture will be shipped in a wooden crate, worldwide for free, just as the one you can see one on the last picture.
