(Evgeni, Eugene, Lansere) Eugeny Alexandrovich Lanceray Lansere - Russian sculptor of bronze figures. The most known Russian sculptor of 19th century. Was very productive, created many models on daily life, hunting scenes, Arabs, French and English subjects. Was very strong on modeling horses. Didn’t do any bears and very little of dogs. Was competing with Vasily Grachev during 1870-1886 untill died at the age of 38. During his lifetime used to cast his models at Felix Chopin’s foundry in St. Petersbourg, Russia. After passing away some of his models were taken to France, but some were left in Russian to continue casting with K.Berto, A.Moran and N.Shtange. Please also consider Avantique’s eclectic bronze collection including Barye, Barrias, Mene, Moigniez, Paillet, Paillard, Fratin, Picault, and Cain among others. We strive to collect the highest quality sculptures in exceptional condition.
