The piece is in very good antique condition and measures 16.75" x 12.75". #2493 The piece came from the estate of a gentleman named Dr. Roger Dustin Mermod ("Poppy") who was born in Switzerland in 1888. Per the book, "Men of Hawaii", which is a biographical reference library, "complete and authentic, of men of note and substantial achievement in the Hawaiian Islands", Mermod came to Honolulu in 1917 to work at the Queen's Hospital as a physician and surgeon, eventually becoming Chief of Surgery.
