George McLeod
British, b. 1981
George McLeod is a London based fine art and fashion photographer. He built a darkroom in his attic when he was 16 and went on to study for a degree in photography, graduating in 2003. In 2015, after taking a longer than expected break from the subject, he fell deeply back in love with it and has been rapidly expanding his photographic ambitions ever since. Having established a close relationship with London based publication, Luxure Magazine, he has been trusted to produce fashion editorials for the world’s leading brands with very few restrictions.
However, his lifelong passion for painting led him back to the word of fine art photography, and after a series of commissions this is now the focus of his work. McLeod has been the recipient of numerous photographic awards and his work has been acquired by various private estates and art collections.(Biography provided by MMX Gallery)

Simply an overwhelming source of detritus...
'Detritus' series was born from the twin frustrations of lockdown halting all planned projects, yet litter still somehow being dropped in abundance on my street.
With no idea of the final output, or indeed the hygiene implications, I started to collect, scan, and record what I found. When I realised these colourful misshapen objects could be turned into something beautiful, the frustrations left me and I began looking for other sources of Detritus.
These collages gave me purpose during the pandemic and allowed me to grow something beautiful from a place of frustration. My aim is to simply give viewers of the work a fleeting moment of calm.
Unable to shoot anything, I’ve been making collections of things I find on the ground and scanning them to create composite images of otherwise ignored or discarded objects." - George McLeod...

‘Florist’ originally called ‘dead flowers’, was created using the flowers from my girlfriends ‘Zoom’ backgrounds over the space of several months. Usually scanned the moment she considered them to be wilted.

About the artist
Linda Rosewall’s artistic path was cemented during her childhood. She was inspired by her farther, an accomplished musician and composer who raised his six children as a performing family act.
The experience of traveling the United States and Canada in a small airplane piloted by her father provided the opportunity for Linda to capture these moments on her small Kodak Instamatic Camera.
At the age of 18, she enrolled at Columbia College of Fine Arts Chicago. During her studies, Linda apprenticed under photographer Norman Bilisko and later worked with Dennis Manarchy...
