Contemporary cabinet inspired by Hungarian neoavantgarde with handpatinated legs
By Self and Scope
Located in Budapest, HU
"Vanishing Cabinet" is a collectible cabinetry line of Annabella Hevesi's "Burnt Geometry" collection. Its geometric yet organic motifs are directly related to significant works of the Hungarian neo-avant-garde art scene. The decorative front consists of square or quarter-circle-shaped layers fitted on each other, making three-dimensional and functional elements as they also form the handles. The sheet metal back, fire-patinated and iridescent inside-out, allows the cabinet to stand free in space. Please note that the colour may look different from the image. Currently available with three equal shelves but may vary upon request. DESIGNER Line and Round...

The reason why Pablo Picasso's self-portraits changed over time is a matter of debate. On the one hand, the dramatic differences could represent the artist's changing views of himself as he aged. Some experts argue that when viewed within the context of his other works, the changes in the self-portraits reflect the development of his shifting style, which leaned more and more toward the abstract throughout the 20th century. On 1stDibs, find an assortment of Pablo Picasso art.

Many artists have made self-portraits in old age. One famous example is Rembrandt, who painted his Self-Portrait in oils in 1669 at the age of 63. Pablo Picasso also painted himself throughout his life and produced several sketches of himself in 1972, when he was 90 years old. Other examples include Italian Renaissance painter Sofonisba Anguissola, who created a self-portrait in 1620 while in her late 80s, and Peter Paul Rubens, who sketched himself sometime between 1635 and 1640, when he was in his 60s.
