A fine and impressive 0.22 carat diamond. 5.95 carat garnet, 0.10 carat ruby and emerald, and 14 karat yellow gold 'frog' brooch; part of our diverse vintage jewelry collections. This fine and impressive vintage cabochon cut frog brooch has been crafted in 14k yellow gold in the form of a frog. The head of the frog is embellished with three pavé set eight-cut diamonds and a pavé set round cut emerald. Two individually bezel set round cut rubies represent the eyes. The body of the frog is ornamented with two feature bezel set garnet cabochons, totalling 5.95Cts. The hind legs of the frog are embellished with a total of seven transitional modern brilliant round cut pavé set diamonds. The 14k gold frame is embellished with a subtle millegrain and engraved decoration. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp. A fine vintage 18 karat yellow gold brooch in the form of a poodle; part of our vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This fine 18k yellow gold brooch has been realistically modelled in the form of a poodle. The poodle is further embellished with inset ruby eyes and a broad collar with link chain. The poodle is secured to the reverse with a bar pin and safety catch. The hallmarks struck to the underside of the poodle's body include the 18k fineness mark (18) (.750) and the London Import Hallmarks. For two years he taught at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City (1927â€â€œ29) and then settled in Taxco, an old silver town (founded in 1528) that had long been in decay.
