More About Loose Fit
Brace Bench in English Ash and London Plane. Inspired by the utilitarian furniture of the Inspirationists of Amana, the dovetailed London plane braces provide rigidity with attractive joinery rather than adding bulk to the frame. The positioning of the braces on opposite sides of the bench adds a playful asymmetry to the design.
Refectory Table. Solid English Oak dining table with wedged mortice and tenon joints on the legs and wiggly feet. Based on traditional construction, with a chunkier and playful twist. This table is made from solid timber, intelligent use of joinery pulls the form together in a robust way. The legs are attached knocking the 'keys' through the tenons to lock the pieces together to assemble or disassemble the table.
Sawtooth bench. Solid English oak bench with a simple, elegant and robust design. The solid seat has a playful sawtooth relief cut into it, and features precisely hand cut, wedged mortise and tenon joints. The bench is coated in Danish oil for extra protection.
Simple dining chair. Delicate in appearance yet comfortable and durable enough for everyday use. Understated and elegant dining chairs featuring the subtle use of hand cut dovetail and bridle joints to form the simplicity and rigidity of the frame. They have a solid wood seat which shows off the prime timber of their construction. Available in solid oak, olive ash or London plane.

Bespoke artist's Plan Chest. Inspired by traditional architect or designer’s plan chests, this piece has broad drawers with hand cut dovetails which are lined with natural cork. The construction of the drawers is based on vintage pieces which have the drawer bottoms visible at the side of the drawers. This maximises the usable space in the drawer, and reveals the method of construction. The drawer knobs are in contrasting London plane
