About the Item

Thanks to its exaggerated cowl neck, floral matelassé fabric and feminine double-layer skirt, this easy day dress slips seamlessly into cocktail hour with a simple change of accessories. Its substantial fabric, full skirt and belted waist hide figure flaws while functional patch pockets and skin-baring construction celebrate the “California culture” designers Annette and Jack Needleman loved. Black sleeveless day dress with exaggerated cowl neckline, sculpted empire waist and full, 2-layer lampshade skirt with bias cut bottom ruffle; cowl neck terminates in pointed rear collar at center back. Rear nylon zipper closure with top hook and eye; fully lined in black viscose.
