About the Item
The vibrant marigold floral garden print used on this 1930's 'Ryder's of Philadelphia' designer silk maxi dress has a fresh innocence that I find irresistible. The bodice has a fantastic low-cut front with tiered short flutter-sleeves. I especially adore the unique criss-cross lowered backside. The piece work to create the skirting in particular is extraordinary; there are two stunning panels of ruffle construction. It is amazing that a gown with this amount of detail and presence can literally feel almost weightless but it does. So romance and rare!

This 1930's Ryder's of Philadelphia designer dress is in beautiful condition with no noticeable rips, holes, stains or alternations. Perfectly working back-side hook closures. This garment is over 90 years old and is truly stunning!
