About the Item

Va-va-voom! Ultra glamorous 1970's two piece halter dress and jacket by New York couturier, Alfred Bosand. The two pieces are designed with a unique mint green fabric that has a velvety gold lamé stripe akin to a flocked fabric with gold bugle beads accenting the cummerbund waistband, cuffs and hemline. The halter dress zips and hooks at the back with full lining. The jacket features a collarless open front and also has a full lining. The design has both a Hollywood starlet and a Studio 54 appeal depending on accessories and attitude! CONDITION The ensemble is in good to fair condition with issues worth mentioning. The jacket has age and storage related fading to the shoulders which is subtle but can be seen in photograph 17. Also noted in photograph 17, some frays or holes to the fabric on the jacket. The dress also has a couple of holes as shown in photograph 18 and some missing beads at the back waistband, please see photograph 19. The side seams of the dress waistband show weakness to the fabric seams, as shown in photograph 20. In spite of the 'laundry list' of issues, the dress and jacket make a great and glamorous impression. Professionally hand cleaned and ready for wear. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS The size is not marked though the dress ensemble best fits a U.S. size 4 with attention to the following measurements, especially the waistband measurement on the dress. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4 and the dress waistband was a bit to tight.
