Neil Bieff Arturo Herrera Silk Skirt and Top Set 1970s
About the Item
A gorgeous 2 piece tan silk top and skirt set from designer Neil Bieff. It is adorned with an abstract pattern of sequins and glass beads created by world renowned artist Arturo Herrera whose works are exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art among other museum and galleries world wide. The blouson top has a bateau neckline, long dolman sleeves with elastic at the wrists. The straight skirt slips on and has stretch at the waist. Both pieces are covered in lines of translucent sheer sequins which is the back drop for the colorful elaborately detailed glass beaded pattern on the upper portion of the top. There is a keyhole at the back neck which along with the neckline and side slit of the straight skirt are outlined with rows of matching tan glass tubular beading. Both pieces are lined in the same silk fabric.
