BYBLOS – Y2k Vintage Beige Sleeveless Blouse with Volants - Unique Prototype
About the Item
Made in Italy during the early 2000s, this is a prototype for the yearly Spring/Summer Byblos collection, thus manufactured by the brand seamstresses without the industrial tags. (It's been sourced it through a stock sale of the manufacturer). It features wide volants on the front and the fabric is lightweight syntetic yarn.
About the brand - Founded in Italy in 1973, Byblos is an Italian fashion company. It originated as a division of Italian ready-to-wear company Genny SpA, taking its name from a hotel in Saint Tropez, and soon became a magnet for young fashion designers from all over the world, including Gianni Versace (1975-1976). Byblos's current creative director is Manuel Facchini, a graduate from Central Saint Martins. The brand returned to Milan Fashion Week in September 2018.
