Vintage Corseted Evening Two Piece from Eavis & Brown
About the Item
Corseted evening two piece from Eavis & Brown. Royal blue silk skirt and corset handmade in England. Detailed with appliqué pale pink roses and mossy leaves, embellished with a beaded outline. Corset laces up the back. Skirt fastens at the side with an invisible zip and two hook and eye clasps. Skirt is full length, A-line at the front and sculptural at the back, with intricate folds and creases. Small loop of fabric at the back of the skirt for lifting to the side and exposing the back. The folds reveal further embroidered and beaded embellishment.
Fabric content: 100% silk. Measurements: Skirt: Waist: 38cm. Length: 109cm. Corset: Chest: 34cm. Length: 36.5cm. Marked size: Medium.
Excellent vintage condition. Unworn but see damage detail and has been dry cleaned. All handcrafted beading and embroidery immaculate and intact. The original sales tags remain attached. Combined purchase price of 2 pieces: $7990. Newly dry cleaned. However, there is a small tear from storage in the fabric of the skirt as shown in pictures, which is mostly hidden in the folds of the skirt. The original corset lace is missing and requires to be replaced.
