Sergio Rossi Red Suede Leather Handbag, 1970's
About the Item
1970's Sergio Rossi lipstick red suede handbag with leather trim and shoulder strap. The hobo style shape offers a generous interior with plenty of space for modern day conveniences. The top zips closed and opens to reveal a black leather lined interior with an additional zippered compartment. The shoulder strap has an adjustable buckle for a custom length and the gold tone hardware at the side panels has an eye catching crescent shape. Signed with mod script at the front panel. From the estate of Betty Foy Sanders, artist, philanthropist and former first lady of Georgia. In addition to her artistic talents, Ms. Sanders was also known for her unique and fashion forward sense of style.
CONDITION
Good to fair condition with some signs of wear and use including subtle soiling to the suede in one corner as shown in photograph 11 and marks to the leather trim as shown in photographs 12 and 13.
MEASUREMENTS
The body of the handbag measures 15" wide at the base narrowing to 11.5" wide at the zippered opening x 12" tall x 5" deep. The .75" wide shoulder strap measures 34" from end to end at the longest adjustment (as show on the mannequin).
