China Green Ceramic Alcohol Gourd 19th Century
About the Item
Ceramic teapot or liquor jug with beautiful green crackle glaze. This type of carafe was traditionally used to serve Huangjiu, an alcohol made from cereals (wheat, millet, rice, etc.) which was consumed hot during meals. This alcohol is similar to Japanese sake.
