About the Item
As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this most unusual large scale Meiji Period 1868-1912, bronze casting of a wooden ferry boat carrying passengers upon a river, this most unusual casting stems from the foundry of the highly regarded Genryusai Seiya and typifies his quality of workmanship together with his eye for detail of the scenes of everyday life in Japan.
