About the Item
A beautiful, wonderfully composed (with fabulous use of negative space) quite large six-panel Sea of Trees Japanese Byobu folding screen/room divider depicting a vast forest scene with lush emerald green trees (perhaps pine trees) on a mountainside/lakeside landscape with a streaming river in the foreground. The beautiful hand-painted detail really makes this an attractive work. We have not come across or seen another screen quite like it. Truly, a special screen.
Original decorative period hardware adds another wonderful touch.
A stunning and unique work. This eye-catching piece is sure to stand out in almost any setting whether used as a divider or hung on the wall as a work of art.
