Set of Tall 8-Panel Georgian Room Dividing Doors

About the Item

A tall and elegant set of reclaimed double doors circa 1800 with a painted finish to both sides. Their impressive scale and smart 8-panel construction make for a beautiful set of dividing doors between rooms in a Regency era townhouse or spacious Georgian property with high ceilings. They were originally sliding doors and as such have no hinges.

  • Set of Four Chinese Courtyard Door Panels, c. 1850
    Located in Chicago, IL
A hallmark of Chinese architecture, tall door panels such as these were used in provincial courtyard homes to easily open up a room to the outdoors. Designed with solid wood panels instead of lattice windows, these door panels were likely installed facing the street, used to protect the home rather than provide decoration. The doors were originally linked by hinges set in opposite directions, allowing the doors to fold upon themselves as they open. Instead of the elaborate carvings often found on Qing-dynasty doors...

  • French 19th C. Raised-Panel Wood Doors 'A Set of two Single Doors'
    Located in Atlanta, GA
A French set of two doors, both singles, from the 19th century. These antique doors from France, though not meant to match up together (as in a pair of French-style doors) but are two near-identical single doors. Both sides of the doors are paneled and painted, so these are a great option to place between living spaces. As with all of our doors, we recommend that a professional contractor be used for installation, and that our dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly. This set of 2 single French doors...
