18th Century French Regency Limestone Mantelpiece in Peach Color

About the Item

18th century French Regency (Régence) mantelpiece, made of peach colored limestone. The Régence was the period in French history between 1715 and 1723, when King Louis XV was a minor and the country was governed by Philippe d'Orléans. The chimney piece has console shaped jambs, a serpentine moulded shelve and fries central decorated wit a shell ornament (scallop). This fireplace comes without conversion blocks, but if desired these can be made from antique stone and added. Dimensions: H 112 x W 176 x D 65 cm Inner dimensions: H 90 x W 146 cm.
