Antique George III Style Fire Grate
About the Item
An antique George III style fire grate in cast iron. This early 19th century fire grate is finely cast at the hand of its Georgian blacksmith. The tall cast iron back plate depicts a Neoclassical scene of a couple holding hands, while a person lies beneath shrubbery, calling out to them. The fan shaped burning area is flanked by standards with urn finials.
