Limestone Gothic Revival Mantel in the Manner of Pugin
About the Item
A mid-19th century English, Gothic Revival fireplace. This fireplace bears similarities with two
surrounds supplied to Presentation Convent, Co. Waterford, designed by Augustus Pugin and
completed by his son Edward Pugin.
Carved from Caen limestone, with marble columns. Removed from a private residence in the North of
England.
