This is an antique tea caddy. An English, rosewood and satinwood container with glass mixer, dating to the late Regency period, circa 1830. Delightful Regency period caddy with fine figuring and colour Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Selection of quality stocks present superb grain interest Graced with light caramel hues beneath a wax polish finish Dressed to the fascia with an inlaid diamond lock escutcheon — in working order, key absent Pair of lidded canisters sit neatly within their recess, with a mixing glass to centre Canisters in appealing original order, with clean, aged linings Charming mixing glass with chased foliate leaf pattern to the rim This is an attractive antique tea caddy, with exquisite figuring. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
