About the Item

A pair of Italian Neoclassical architectural carved giltwood candlesticks with cameo mount. Hand carved in Italy, featuring a sculptural corinthian capital with ornate scrolling volutes and acanthus leaf ornamentation, surmounted with shaped pedestal top with circular undulating metal candle holder pricket framed by beaded gilt wood trim, rising on tall turned fluted column, atop later portrait cameo mounted square stepped plinth base with classic decorative molding bas-reliefs, resting on four small pad feet. Dimensions: (approx) Each: 34.5" High, 6.5" Wide, 6.5" Deep; 12.5lbs total Having the ideal large size and elegant proportions to be used as a floor standing candleholder or altar stick, decorating the top of a table or sideboard, flanking a fireplace or atop an oversized mantel, wherever it's placed, it's sure to bring a touch of classic refinement, sophisticated elegance, and luxurious presence to any space.
