French Empire maple and gilt 4-column clock by B.L. Petit a Paris

About the Item

A nice good looking empire maple mantel clock with a so called compensated pendulum. The striking 8-day movement with countwheel on bell. The nice pendulum on steel spring suspension. Anchor escapement with a grid from steel and bronze with lovely imposing pendulum bob. The enamel dial with roman nr and Brequet hands signed B.L. Petit a Paris.The nice maple case on bun feet. The 4 columns with lovely detailed bronze mounts.
