Louis XVI Style Ormolu Bronze Mantle Clock After Louis Simon Boizot

About the Item

Our Louis XVI style clock in the manner of Louis Simon Boizot (1743-1809) features the patinated figures of neoclassical standing females supporting the clock face, ormolu gilt surfaces and porcelain dial with Roman numerals. With twin train movement. Dial signed Etienne Lenoir Paris for the firm founded by Étienne Lenoir (1699-1778). Movement is stamped LESIEUR and numbered 811 for the Paris firm founded by Francois Eugene Lesieur in Paris in the late eighteenth century.
