A Cast Stone Garden Sculpture of a Shar Pei
About the Item
This cast stone sculpture is made with marble dust, producing a sparkling effect in certain lighting conditions. The Shar Pei was the preferred breed of Chinese aristocrats before being driven almost to extinction in China in the mid-20th century. Shar Pei's are aloof with strangers, making them excellent guard dogs, and very warm with family members. This stone Shar Pei makes a delightful garden ornament as it stands to watchful attention. The condition is quite good, with a modest softing of the details as it slowly dissolves. It is very dense and heavy.
