About the Item
Vintage Jose Dunach Bronze Lady Golf Figure.
A very nice French Art Deco style sculpture of a lady golfer mounted on a round naturalistic base, the golfer is in a full follow through position. This bronze statue has a gilt finish with a wonderful colour and patina. The circular base stamped / signed 'J Dunach' together with the letters 'JD' to the underneath.
Jose Dunach (1886-1957) was born in Barcelona and later moved to Paris. He was renowned for his bronzes of dancers and sportsmen and exhibited in numerous Paris Salons.

John Jabez Edwin Paisley Mayall (1813-1901) was an English photographer who in 1860 took the first carte-de-visite photographs of Queen Victoria.
