About the Item

Bronze sculpture of a musician by Nathaniel Kaz, signed and dated 1952. Measures 23” x 10” x 19” including the plinth base. In 1931, at the age of 14, Nathaniel Kaz and a small group of American sculptors created the Sculptors Guild, which was a part of the WPA, and later he was a member of a small group of sculptors who were at the forefront of American Modernism in Art.
