Sculptural Pair of Japanese Bronze Cranes
About the Item
Handsome pair of life-sized, Meiji period (1868-1912), wading cranes realistically sculpted of patinated bronze with naturalistic bodies, featuring detailed feather plumes, ridged legs and webbed feet, both standing erect, one with neck raised and the other with bent neck towards the earth, screw mounted on natural wood fragment disc bases.
