About the Item
Exceptional Japanese contemporary decorative porcelain vase, hand-painted on a beautifully shaped porcelain body, a signed masterpiece by widely respected award-winning Japanese master porcelain artist.
The artist is a second-generation master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of southern Japan and is widely known for his portrayal of historical scenes combined with intricate geometric patterns.
This stunning vase in a unique shape showcases a floral motif of bold peonies intricately painted in different stages of development in yellow, pink and red, and delicate foliage in soft shades of purple, blue and green on a dark blue background. An intricate underglaze karakusa , or arabesque motif, in night sky blue decorates the top part of this elegant piece, while the base is framed with a detailed pattern in red.
This elegant vase comes in a custom-made wooden case signed by the artist.
