Pair of JAPANESE SATSUMA warriors vases, Early 20th Century

About the Item

A pair of Japanese Satsuma vases with parcel gilt and enameled decorations from the early 20th century are available for sale. The vases feature gilt mouths, waisted necks, and spiral Greek key collars. The shoulders are sharp and tapering, while the bodies depict scenes of three generations participating in acts of learning and filial piety in a wintery landscape on one side. On the other side, there are scenes of Samurai warriors in elaborate costumes. The vases are marked on their feet.
