K-OVER Champagne, GRAPES, silver 999/°, Italy
About the Item
GRAPES :
Our K-OVERs, are alternatives to the champagne bucket and the more common glacette. The precious metal that holds the bottle is coated internally with a thermal fabric that maintains the temperature of your champagne for about 2 hours. The works are entirely handmade by master goldsmiths. The working techniques used are chiseling, engraving, and embossing. This K-Over is part of the "Works of Art" collection. The design is classic, inspired by the Tuscan tradition of Chianti, where grapes and wine are the protagonists. In modern symbolism, grapes represent hope and the strength to achieve a goal. The artist works and carves a metal cylinder from the inside making using a Renaissance technique called "of the hunt out." Needless to say, this process is very difficult and requires a lot of time and especially uncommon skill. All this makes our champagne K-overs the ideal gift to give to those who already own everything; by offering your closest friends or relatives a K-over you will make a valuable and lasting gift.
Master goldsmith:
Francesco Puletti: trained at the State Institute of Art in Sansepolcro after graduating, he worked for a few years as a model maker at some manufacturing companies in the Arezzo district. In-depth research in his youthful years on the ancient techniques of embossing, chiseling, enameling, and lost-wax sculpture prompted him to pursue a career in art. In his atelier located in the historic center of Sansepolcro, he creates important commissioned artifacts that draw inspiration from the aesthetic models of the classical and Renaissance traditions to contemporary art. Some of the most significant works in his career as an artist include the covering of the baptismal font of the cathedral of San Sepulcro commissioned by the curia and inaugurated in January 2012 on the occasion of the millennial celebration of the founding of the cathedral of the city of Biturgia.
