Large Brass Rotary Eclipse Styled Commercial Grade Bar Mounted Corkscrew
About the Item
This large and substantial corkscrew is unsigned, so no specific maker could be determined, but it is made in the same style as the renowned Eclipse Rorary Corkscrew, otherwise known as the 'King of Corkscrews'. The corkscrew is made of brass plated metal, possibly nickel and features a large downward positioned cylinder with a large crank on one side. The crank mechanism both pushes the corkscrew downward through the brass collar and then back again to retract the cork. The base is a solid metal post which is designed to fasten to the top of the bar. This antique corkscrew is functional, but the gears are a bit clunky when turned through the cork retracting phase of operation from years of commercial use.
