19th Century French Jaspe Country Pitcher

Jaspe terra cotta ceramic pitcher in a marbleized pattern of burnt orange, green and butter yellow. This pitcher was made in the Savoie region of France in the late 19th century. It is marked with a 8 on the bottom.
Jaspe pottery is typically marble-like swirls of color or geometric designs of lines or dots, it was considered country pottery and meant to be used daily.
