English Majolica Green Rimmed Round Begonia Leaf Plate, circa 1870-80

About the Item

An English majolica Begonia plate, Adams & Bromley, circa 1870-1880. Beautiful, bold glazing with bright green rims. The centers show a pattern of raised mold work, mimicking the crinkling and veining found on a begonia leaf. The versos are glazed with a wide brown rim. A nice rolled rim. Multiple plates are available, each varying in glazing and intensity of color. Unmarked – however this glazing is well known to be Adams & Bromley manufactured. 8.25 in. Diam. x 1.5 in. H In very good antique condition, with the expected light age related wear.
