An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver bread dish; an addition to our dining silverware collection.
This exceptional antique George V sterling silver dish has a plain oval boat shaped form.
The body of this impressive English silver bread dish is embellished with bands of fine and impressive pierced vertical pale decoration, flanking oval floral medallions.
The ornamentation to the body incorporates bright cut engraved floral and foliate festoons, suspended from the aforementioned medallion designs.
The upper rim of the dish is encompassed with a paralleling applied thread decorated border.
The well of this fine example of antique silverware is plain and unembellished.
Either end of this antique dish features a cast sterling silver handpiece,
ornamented with foliate decoration to a plain rounded terminal.
The underside of the dish bears the retailer's mark 'Manoah Rhodes & Sons Limited, Bradford', in addition to the registration number 'Rd521857'.
This exceptional antique silver bread dish has been crafted in a highly desirable style.
