Articulated Victorian silver-plated wine coaster trolley

About the Item

Superior quality, articulated Victorian silver-plated wine bottle or decanter coaster trolley. Made by the excellent Elkington & Co, this antique wine coaster trolley features cast grape and vine pattern mounts and handle, plus woven openwork trellis sides. The wagon-style wheels run smoothly across the table and the trolley is fitted with wood bases which are in excellent and original condition. As is traditional, each coaster features a central silver-plated boss or button. An inscription reads: From W S & C E B to Alfred Cheek Esq as some slight return for a long course of unwearied kindness friendship & attention. The total length given includes the handle. The outer diameter of the individual coasters is given while the internal diameter is 110mm (4¼").
