Danish Pair of Sakura Art Glass Lamps by Michael Bang for Holmegaard

About the Item

A pair of white and pink opaline Art Glass lamps by Michael Bang for Holmegaard. The 2 Sakura table lamp was designed by Michael Bang and was produced at Fyens Glasværk for Holmegaard Glasværk, when Holmegaard production still had production in Denmark in the 1980s. This particular version has pink decoration in the thick glass and was made in 1982. The measurements are without the shade and to the top of the socket: Condition good US compatible but adapter required for plug. Measures: Larger lamp is 42cm in height and 31cm in diameter Smaller lamp is 23cm in height and 17cm in diameter. They weigh circa 2.4 kilo and 1.1 kilo. The lamps is made white opaline glass with rose-pink and gray melted glass swirls underlying the smooth clear glass, the glass is of thick heavy handblown quality and has typical Danish timeless modern design of Michael Bang.
