Midcentury Brass Piano Lamp, 1960s
About the Item
Very solid and rare brass piano lamp from the 1950s - 1960s. The lamp no longer has a manufacturer label. But it is either a lamp from the company JBS (Joseph Brumberg Sundern) or a piano lamp from the Swedish company ORO.
The lamp impresses with its organic shape. The lamp is made of brass with a heavy metal base covered in black shrunken varnish. The shade can be adjusted via a joint. There is another joint on the foot (adjustable). The lamp is switched on and off using a pressure switch on the base. The lamp is in good original condition with a dark patina on the brass - see pictures*. It can be used both as a piano lamp and as a table lamp.
There are two almost identical lights, see last picture.
