About the Item

Mid-Century Modern vintage wall sunburst mirror oval like attributed to design attributed to Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn 1950s Sweden. A stunning wall mirror with curved nice loops frame worked in brassed metal in rare oval shape. This sunburst mirror features elegant texture of curved brassed loops and mirror glass. Josef Frank ( 1885 - 1967 ) enjoyed to play with an eclectic interior mix and created beautiful interior pieces with stunning details. All design pieces by Josef Frank were created individually and so he was involved in a creative way so as to create "Wiener Möbel" to worldwide fame. Many interior pieces were been designed by Josef Frank for his famed interior company in Vienna Haus & Garten till 1930s. When he left Vienna and emigrated to Sweden 1938 he formed his success with his friend Astrid Ericsson by Svenskt Tenn and continued his career with his fairytale and marvelous designs. 1939 Josef Frank followed an invitation by New School for Research in New York and lived in USA till 1947 but he continued his work with Svenskt Tenn.
