19th Century French Gentleman's Vanity or Table Mirror
About the Item
An antique gentleman's vanity toilet mirror, or 'Psyche', dating from the 19th century and beautifully crafted from gleaming mahogany. This tilting table-top mirror is full of character, with wonderful barley-twist uprights on either side of its bevelled and domed glass plate. Mounted on a sturdy scalloped base on shaped feet, the mirror features an integral semi- circular storage compartment with hinged lid – ideal for the storage of trinkets. A superb addition to any dressing table.
