About the Item
Historic Houses of the Hudson Valley by Harold Donaldson Eberlein and Cortlandt Van Dyke Hubbard. Published by Bonanza Books 1942, New York, NY. Hardcover with dust jacket. Illustrated with black and white photographs, endpaper maps, a good index. Sponsored by the Hudson River Conservation Society, Inc. The houses and estates of the Hudson River Valley reflect a social and economic system which profoundly affected the subsequent development of New York State. The photographs and text preserve the images of some of the great houses and tell the stories of the men who buiit them and the time in which they lived." This is the original bible on the subject.
