Presented is a signed and inscribed first edition printing of Jack Nicklaus’ On and Off the Fairway: A Pictorial Autobiography. The book was published in November of 1978 by Simon and Schuster, New York. It is offered here in the publisher’s quarter cloth and green hardcover boards with the original unclipped yellow and green dust jacket. It is inscribed on the front free endpage, “To Joe, Best of Luck, Jack Nicklaus,” in black ink.
Written in collaboration with Ken Bowden, this pictorial autobiography captures the amazing career of golf's greatest player. Through written stories and numerous photographs, readers can relive the historic golfing moments of Nicklaus’ storied career and learn more of his life off the green as well. The book promises “the complete story of Jack Nicklaus, the whole man, told in his own words and often with refreshing candor.”
Highly respected for his calculating mind and collected demeanor in the face of frustration and victory, Jack Nicklaus is beloved throughout the golf community. His talent was apparent from an early age and by the end of his career, he had won 6 Green Jackets and a total of 20 major championships, to include 2 U.S. Amateurs titles. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest golfers of all time.

Very good condition. In the publisher's 1⁄4 cloth and green hardcover boards. Light toning to top of boards. In the publisher’s unclipped green and yellow dust jacket. Minimal wear to dust jacket. Signed and inscribed by Nicklaus on the front free endpaper, in black ink. Inscription is legible, without smudges. Interior pages are clean and healthy, without marks or tears. Illustrated. 256 pp. Dimensions: 11” H x 8 1/2 ” W x 1” D.
